Vipera Systems has developed and received several
patents on 2-15µ dual channel visible and infrared endoscopy for less invasive
surgical procedures. The endoscope is designed with external focus adjustment to mechanically
interface with infrared cameras operating in mid and long wavelength regions.

*Thermal sensitivity is a function of camera sensitivity and
integration time.
Key Benefits
 |
proven useful in minimally invasive surgery |
 |
addition of infrared imaging provides the surgeon
with valuable thermal information to assist with anatomy location, in
addition to
retained stones in the common bile duct, blockages in the cardiovascular
system and for the identification of the ureter during urological surgery |
 |
capable of pinpointing the location of "bleeders", small
arterial flows, in a pool of blood during surgery, allowing surgeons to
cauterize such flows rapidly and eliminates trial-and-error involved when
bleeders are obscured |
Key Medical Applications
 |
general surgery |
 |
urological surgery |
 |
gynecological surgery |
 |
orthopedic surgery |
 |
ENT, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery |
